We have acted for a number of clients in the power sector in Uganda.
We are keen on advising clients on all aspects of due diligence, regulatory compliance, negotiations and contract documentation in the power sector.

Our practice includes:

• Advising clients on the due diligence process of considering investment(s) in the power sector;
• Advising clients on aspects of negotiation, procurement and contract documentation;
• Advising clients on all permits required to operate in the power sector of Uganda as well as the renewal processes for such electricity permits and/ or licences;
• Advising clients on the negotiation and drafting of all agreements in the electricity sector, to include but not limited to; agreements for power generation and sale business;
• Advising clients on matters relating to way leaves or other rights in or over land necessary for operation under electricity licences in Uganda;
• Representing clients before any court, tribunal or government official to oppose or defend any administrative or judicial decision in respect to any licence or permit required to conduct operations under the electricity licence.
